Welcome to our blog. Dan & I are hoping to use this method to keep in touch with family and friends while we're away this winter. You'll have to bear with us through the learning process - neither of us have ever done this before. If it works the way we hope it will, we'll keep you updated with our where-abouts and share pictures. We're hoping that you'll use it to keep in contact with us too. The most recent entry will always be at the top of the page, so if you're new here, scroll down to the bottom to start or use the archive list. Our apologies to anyone who found the Travelpod blog only to have it disappear on them, but this site seems easier to use and like I said - we're beginners, so the easier the better.

The end is near

We had to pass right by it anyway so we camped one last night at Valley of Fire. This was the first place that we camped on this trip; it seemed right to end it here too.
As John Steinbeck said in Travels With Charley "Some trips are over before they end" (Or words to that effect - I don't remember exactly). That's the way it is with this trip. It's over, we just have to go home now. Provo, Utah tonight, Butte or maybe Great Falls, Montana tomorrow and home on Saturday. I am SO looking forward to seeing my bathtub!!!
Here are some final pictures of this hidden gem:

We have thoroughly enjoyed our winter get-away. Thanks for coming along with us.
See you soon.

You know what they say - all good things must come to an
